Cinnamon Baked Apples (no added sugar!)
These cinnamon baked apples are my favorite fall/winter dessert. They hit the spot on a cold night and are the perfect pick me up during a long night of homework. This recipe is super simple; it requires two ingredients and 45 minutes to bake. Even with no added sugar, I swear they taste just like apple pie (maybe even better)! This apple treat is amazing on its own, but sometimes my family likes to add granola and or dairy free ice cream!
Ingredients:
8 large apples (I like honey crisp)
1 tsp of cinnamon
Steps:
1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
2. Peel and cube apples.
3. Place apples into a large bowl, add cinnamon, and toss until apples are evenly coated.
4. Transfer apples to a baking dish, cover, and bake in the oven for 45 minutes. Stir and uncover after 30 minutes.
5. Serve warm and enjoy! *They are even good cold out of the fridge the next day :)
